Our Vision

The constant current of life at Sloan Park, always a source of energy. I was zoomed in on my phone and what sorts of pics I would take next, and I was completely missing the experience of being there. When I finally put the phone down, the world that was potentially opening up. Families went strolled by, people rode waves of bikes and dogs walked beside patrols. The  water swirling beneath. The pond surface rippled as fish broke surface, drifting their snouts above murky water, and disappearing back into their temporary home in the rippled world. Green beautiful trees lined the park horizon, each extraordinarily different from each other, trees shaped imperfectly with branches stretching at different angles, distances, and light glistening off the leaves in playful balance of imperfect masterpieces. The path was alive with runners, and children gliding, and skating, and couples strolling hand in hand.

Sloan Park was a live space, not just with people, but with an intimate, delicate relationship of nature with community. Every hum, every sway, and every detail generated the rhythm of space a total reminder to pause, lean in, and simply allow something to emerge, maybe something ordinary but beautiful.
